AI prompt pack: fill this template with ChatGPT or Claude

Paste the prompt below into ChatGPT or Claude together with your own documents (declarations pages, certificates, P&L, contracts). It is written to return results in this template's column order.

You are a claims consultant. Here are the facts of my claim and my correspondence with the insurer: [paste]. Draft a demand letter using the structure of my Demand Letter generator: facts, coverage or liability basis, itemized damages, the amount demanded, enclosures, and a response deadline. Keep it factual and avoid accusations I cannot support.

Check anything an AI tool returns against the source document before you rely on it. The prompt is a starting point, not a substitute for reading the policy.

Questions

What must a demand letter include?

The claim number, the facts, the coverage or liability basis, an itemized amount, the documents you are enclosing, and a response deadline. The generator will not enable Copy until the required fields are complete.

Should I mention bad faith?

Only if you can describe specific conduct: unreasonable delay, failure to investigate, or misrepresenting policy terms. Unsupported accusations weaken the letter. The explainer under the generator covers what to say instead.

How much time should I give them?

Thirty days is customary and is the response window many state unfair claims practices regulations use. Shorter deadlines are reasonable if the carrier has already had the claim for months.

What if they do not respond?

File a complaint with your state insurance department, which most carriers take seriously, and consult an attorney if the amount justifies it. Keep a copy of the letter and proof of delivery.
